Volunteer Opportunities From: Rooted Fall 2025

Come serve our local community by providing food for those who find themselves in need. In a friendly and uplifting environment, you will be sorting donated food items, prepping food stations, loading shopping carts for the guests and transporting groceries to vehicles. Guests are greeted, offered the opportunity for prayer and provided treats while waiting to shop. This is an indoor event that may require some heavy lifting. Cleaning up after the event is also required.

This is a night to connect, support and celebrate the school families of Buckeye Elementary. We will provide take home groceries for the attendees. This project will start and end at Bayside El Dorado Hills. You will meet at the church to preload grocery bags 1/2 full with canned and dry goods for 20+ families. These will then be transported, along with perishable items and produce to the elementary school for distribution that starts at 6:00 pm. On-site, volunteers will assist the guests with food selection and transport the bags to vehicles if needed. After cleaning up, remaining items will be returned to the church. The volunteers will provide the transportation to the site.

Volunteers will meet at Bayside El Dorado Hills and sort donated food items, and organize in the pantry area of Building B.  Some heavy lifting may be required.

Our new program of retail recovery involves collection of donated food items at local grocery stores, which are then brought to the church to be sorted and placed in the food pantry. You will meet at Bayside El Dorado Hills and be prepared to help organize and sort the food items and some physical labor will be included for putting all things away in the pantry.
